Abby is blind and therefore requires an above ground fence. She is still working on potty training and does not do well walking on a leash currently. She prefers to not be crated.
She’s fine with children that respect her size, other dogs, and we don’t see any reason why she wouldn’t be fine with cats also.
Abby is best buds with Johnny Riggins. Her favorite place is cuddling on a dog bed with Johnny.
These two have definitely bonded and would prefer to be together. Please consider adopting both!
If you are interested in adopting Abby Rose and/or Johnny Riggins please visit our website at www.pawsofadamscounty.com and submit an adoption application.
When applying, please answer each question completely and honestly. Only complete applications will be considered.

Well, look no further!
Meet Johnny Riggins! He’s a 15 year old 24# Doodle. He is looking for somebody to share his Golden Years with. He is basically blind from cataracts but can see light and dark, and shadows close up. He is a bit hard of hearing, which is not uncommon (if human, he’s approx. 78 years young). He struggles with some arthritis for which he takes a vet prescribed chew daily to help with joint pain and discomfort.
For all of the above reasons , it is best if he would be in a home with only a few or no stairs. He also requires a fence so he can easily learn his outdoor boundaries. He does best eating a combination of soft and hard food. He has had a complete dental and is feeling more comfortable eating out of a bowl with no more gum or toothaches. Johnny still prefers eating alone with no person or pet watching him.
He is potty trained, has absolutely no need for a crate, does well with other dogs, and would assume cats also. He loves older children or anyone who will cuddle. He loves being a lap-dog, however he is unable to jump up and will need some help sitting on the furniture with you. He loves being outside as long as he has a human nearby – he will cry loudly if he believes he is alone. He requires regular grooming, including between his paw pads. His fur is just now returning following a complete shave due to his previous grooming neglect.
Johnny will simply sweep you off your feet!
If interested in Johnny Riggens please fill out an application on our website. Please fill out app in full with honest answers and add all vets used.

Listen, I'm not trying to sound super high maintenance or whatever, but my accommodations aren't doing it for me. And I really want to be in my permanent home for Christmas. My foster family is great and all, I actually love them, but I need to bust out of here soon. I have no space for my ever-growing costumes, the house is crowded, and I can't even begin to tell you how bad these people snore!! Ha! Just kidding 😁..... or am I 😉. So anyway hmmm 🤔.... my ideal home would be Me... ONLY Muwah... I just can't handle the stress of sybs, always in my personal space.....blech! I don't mind walking on leash with them but that's it. I would love a big fenced in yard or at least a few strolls a day, gotta stretch them legs or they get stiff. I'm pretty good at sleeping in my crate when your gone, I'm a nice guy really, I just get bored and MAY get into trouble 😁. My foster momma taught me some good old fashion manners! Not to toot my own horn but I am pretty polite, can play a mean fetch and am the best darn couch buddy you'll ever meet!!
And don't worry about me getting any of those yucky diseases because these ladies got me all fixed up with vaccines and hw prevention, of course I will need those regularly.
Now if you're seriously looking for a roommate I would love to come over and check out your setup. I mean as long there's no yucky syblings.. blech. Just follow this link and fill out my application, because I gotta weed out the "weirdos" 🙊.

Lyla is estimated to be around 5 years old. We are guessing she is some sort of a beagle/coonhound mix. She is working on all house manners as this is likely the first time she has ever been inside a house. We are specifically working on potty training, crate training and no countertop surfing. She will need someone willing to continue training once adopted. She is very smart! She is good with other dogs but needs a home with no cats. She has not been around kids in her foster home but we see no indication that she wouldn’t be just fine with kids. Lyla will need a secure physical fence due to her love for exploring - typical beagle. She would love another dog to show her the ropes! She loves adventure but is not a cuddle bug.
Lyla is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, on heartworm prevention and is up to date on rabies and DHLPP.
She is ready for her adoptive home now! If you are interested in adopting Lyla please visit our website at www.pawsofadamscounty.com and submit an adoption application.

It does appear that Patch may have some hearing and/or sight deficits which is common when dogs are bred to try and produce a certain coat color, like the Merle color. Patch specifically seems to struggle more with her sight in the dark. Due to this, she will require a fenced in yard.
Patch does great with other dogs and does not mind cats. She has not been around children in her foster home, but we see no indication that she wouldn’t be just fine with kids. Patch is so playful and sweet.
Patch is on heartworm prevention and is up to date on rabies and DHLPP. She is scheduled to be fixed on 6/19.
If you are interested in fostering to adopt Patch please visit our website at www.pawsofadamscounty.com and submit an adoption application.

She is a 4 to 5 year old all white Pitty with one blue eye and one half blue half brown eye. She currently weighs around 45 pounds.
Astra is potty trained and crate trained. At this time Astra needs to be an only dog.
She loves to play with almost any type of toy and loves to run around like a goofball. She absolutely loves people, going on walks and going on car rides.
A fence is preferred for Astra as she likes to chase small animals - she is quite the mouse catcher.
Astra is spayed, currently on heartworm prevention, microchipped, has received her rabies vaccine and has received her first parvo/distemper/ lepto vaccine and booster.
Even though she still has some scars that are healing - and some that may never heal, Astra is ready adoption now!
If you are interested in adopting Astra please visit our website at www.pawsofadamscounty.com and submit an adoption application.

His name means:
Dove; peaceful being, accomplishing, and a gift from God.
He himself is a peaceful little boy, and definitely a gift from God. He just wants to be loved and comforted. Most of the time you can find Jonas either laying in the bathroom sink or on the floor in the bathroom all by himself. He sometimes even lays under the sink in the cabinets.
Jonas has come along way since coming into rescue. He has learned to trust and be loved on. He is starting to cuddle now and comes to you for them. Big change from 4 months ago. He gets along good with other kitties, and even tolerates the babies lol. Does well with dogs too! He is just all around a sweet boy that is just a little spoiled lol. He likes, and sometimes demands, canned catfood. Very patient though watching and waiting while you prepare his feast 🙂

Bella was previously adopted as Lily from the Harry Potter puppies but was recently returned due to a few behavioral issues from not being properly socialized as a young puppy. She has made so much progress in the short time she has been back in rescue. Her biggest hurdle has been getting over her fear of men.
Bella is 9 months old. Since a couple of her siblings have been DNA tested; we now know she is mostly Australian Cattle Dog. Bella is potty trained but not quite crate trained. She loves other dogs, especially those who want to play, play, play. She is fine with cats but may chase them if they run. Bella has been around children previously but is still learning to not jump up. She wants to be with her people 24/7. She can be quite the cuddle bug.
Bella is spayed, microchipped, on heartworm prevention and is up to date on rabies and DHLPP. She will need to be heartworm tested when she is 1 year old.
She is ready for her adoptive home now! If you are interested in adopting Bella please visit our website at www.pawsofadamscounty.com and submit an adoption application.

🌸Little Miss Rolly is the runt of the litter of double Merle, Australian Shepherd puppies left behind in an apartment. She is about 4 months old and weighs about 11 pounds. She will probably weigh up to 25 pounds as an adult.
🌸Rolly is a special needs puppy that needs a special family. When two Merle colored dogs are bred to try to get a high dollar Merle colored dog, there is a risk that some of the puppies will be born with a lack of pigment and possible vision and hearing impairments. These puppies are usually euthanized, because they can’t be sold. Rolly is one of these puppies. Not only is she deaf with a visual impairment, she also has seizures, which are being controlled with medication twice a day.
🌸Rolly is not a throw away dog!
She doesn’t let her disabilities stop her from living her best life. She uses her sense of smell, feeling movement, following close to people’s feet or other dogs to help her. She benefits from a willing companion dog. She will require a physical fence to keep her safe, and a family that will provide her with needed seizure medication for the rest of her life, and the mental and physical stimulation that will keep her from withdrawing due to her visual and hearing losses.
🌸Rolly is working on crate and potty training, and leash walking. A companion dog helps her learn these skills. She enjoys playing, and is always ready for a cuddle! She is available to foster to adopt, has had her first two puppy vaccines, rabies, been microchipped, and is on heartworm prevention. All remaining vetting will be completed by final adoption.
If you are interested in adopting please visit our website at www.pawsofadamscounty.com and submit an adoption application.

Reagan may not be able to talk, but her scars tell a story that none of us can ever imagine. In her short life, she has been through a lot. With lots of TLC and love, she is now ready for adoption. Reagan is a young, petite lab mix looking for her forever home. Despite her past, she is still sweet and loving as can be. She loves her people, and once she warms up to you, she wants to be near you all the time!! (Especially when you have food under the table) She’s a cuddle bug and would make a great movie date for those singles out there 😉. Reagan is crate trained, however she will sing you the song of her ancestors if you leave her in it too long. She is potty trained, too! A fenced-in yard and another playful k9 companion is required so that she can continue learning what being a spoiled little princess is like. We have learned that kids make Reagan uneasy so she will need a kid free home. If you think Reagan may fit your lifestyle, please apply at https://www.pawsofadamscounty.com/adoption-foster-app

Neo is the "spirited" one of the Spring pups. If your looking for on ornery boy, Neo will fit that category well lol. He is a stinker when first meeting him but will eventually warm up. He would be great at alerting and scaring off "intruders" 🙂. He is crate trained, potty trained as long as he is let out regularly and gets along with other dogs and does fine with cats. He is also a little ham, very photogenic as you can see. Those ears 😊! Such s handsome boy!
Neo is 5 months old, is updated on dhlpp vaccines (will get final vaccine, rabies at nueter)on heartworm prevention and microchipped. He will be neutered in June before adoption is complete, but can join a new family before on foster to adopt. If interested in this silly boy please fill out an application on our website at https://www.pawsofadamscounty.com/adoption-foster-app

She is an Aussie mix from what we were told and is a young adult around a year and a half, 40 lbs., and mother to our Spring pups.
She is spayed, utd on vaccines, microchipped and on prevention.
Maia is a shy girl at first and when she warms up she is a little sweetie. She places her paw out for attention which is the sweetest thing. She is potty trained, kennel trained,is great with other dogs, chases cats sometimes 🤨, and has been fine around everyone but has not been around kids in her foster home. Guessing she would be fine with older respectable kids. If your looking for a little girl to be a best friend, Maia is your girl.
If interested in Maia please fill out an application on our website. Please fill out completely and honestly and if you have more than one vet PLEASE list them all.
