Paws of Adams County has several pets for adoption! If you find one you are interested in you can submit an application, which you can find one here. Without a doubt, when you adopt a rescue dog, puppy, cat or kitten will put an instant smile on your face and you gain a wonderful companion! Once you fill out an application one of our application specialists will contact you as soon as possible. Not all animals are posted her. Please see our Facebook page for more.
All of our cats/kittens will have all their vaccines updated, microchipped, spayed/neutered and feLV/Fiv tested before adoption.
Kittens Under 1 yr. $80
Young Adults 1 yr. or older $40
Seniors Over 11 yrs. $20
All of our dogs and puppies will be updated on their normal vetting including vaccines, microchipped, spayed/neutered, and heartworm tested, as well as on a heartworm preventative, before adoption. They all live in foster homes and have been socialized with work on crate training, potty training and trust (if needed).
Puppies Under 1 Year - $350
Young Adults 1 to 3 years - $300
Adults over 3 yrs. $250
Seniors over 10 yrs. $200
$100 will be added if a recent dental was done.

Jojo is a 1 year old terrier mix. She weighs 16 pounds and is very friendly. Jojo can be playful as well as snuggly. She walks well on leash.

Dasher has been working with our friends at Perfect Pet.
He is a very friendly boy who knows his basic obedience commands like walking nicely on a leash, sit, down, come, and place. He is muzzle trained. He would prefer a home by himself but would be okay to go to a home with a calm housemate through proper introduction and structured playtimes. Pushy or ill mannered dogs are a big trigger for him. He does great with people and loves to give snuggles and kisses as well as going for joy rides in the car. His new owners will need to be willing to put time into continuing his training and learning the commands he knows.
Dasher’s adoption fee has been sponsored.
He would prefer a fenced in yard and I big comfy couch to lounge.
He has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

Baby is a 1.5 year old terrier mix. She weighs 17 pounds and her favorite thing to do is race around the backyard! Baby is shy so she does require a physical fenced yard. She is still working on crate training and potty training as well as trusting all people. Baby does get along great with other dogs and would actually love a companion dog. She doesn’t mind cats but young kids can be overwhelming for her.

Meet Samone!
Samone is a 2 year old terrier mix. He weighs 23 pounds and likes attention. Though he can be a barker at times, Samone is fairly calm and prefers to be right beside it. He walks well on leash.
Samone has received his initial vaccines and vetting. He is available for foster to adopt with adoptions being finalized after being fixed and receiving boosters.
Fostering to adopt allows you to “try before you buy” while we continue to cover any needed medical expenses!

Hoppy is a 2 year old terrier mix. He weighs 28 pounds and is such a good cuddler once he warms up to you. He is crate trained, potty trained and does well with other dogs. Due to his shyness, Hoppy does required a physically fenced yard.

🐾Little man Chewy is a 10 year old pug/chihuahua mix that needs a special home. He gets along with other dogs and cats, but is not usually interested in playing with them. Introducing the stunning Zarah! She is estimated to be around 1.5 years old and is part Siamese. Zarah does have the typical Siamese attitude at times but LOVES scratches behind the ears and just melts to the ground purring. She does not sharpen her claws on furniture as long as she is provided adequate scratching posts and is litter box trained. A covered litter box works best for Zarah. She is not a fan of dogs and would be best with no young children.
