Paws of Adams County has several pets for adoption! If you find one you are interested in you can submit an application, which you can find one here. Without a doubt, when you adopt a rescue dog, puppy, cat or kitten will put an instant smile on your face and you gain a wonderful companion! Once you fill out an application one of our application specialists will contact you as soon as possible. Not all animals are posted her. Please see our Facebook page for more.
All of our cats/kittens will have all their vaccines updated, microchipped, spayed/neutered and feLV/Fiv tested before adoption.
Kittens Under 1 yr. $80
Young Adults 1 yr. or older $40
Seniors Over 11 yrs. $20
All of our dogs and puppies will be updated on their normal vetting including vaccines, microchipped, spayed/neutered, and heartworm tested, as well as on a heartworm preventative, before adoption. They all live in foster homes and have been socialized with work on crate training, potty training and trust (if needed).
Puppies Under 1 Year - $350
Young Adults 1 to 3 years - $300
Adults over 3 yrs. $250
Seniors over 10 yrs. $200
$100 will be added if a recent dental was done.

Meet Dasher!
Dasher has been working with our friends at Perfect Pet.
He is a very friendly boy who knows his basic obedience commands like walking nicely on a leash, sit, down, come, and place. He is muzzle trained. He would prefer a home by himself but would be okay to go to a home with a calm housemate through proper introduction and structured playtimes. Pushy or ill mannered dogs are a big trigger for him. He does great with people and loves to give snuggles and kisses as well as going for joy rides in the car. His new owners will need to be willing to put time into continuing his training and learning the commands he knows.
Dasher’s adoption fee has been sponsored.
He would prefer a fenced in yard and I big comfy couch to lounge.
He has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

Roman is an 11 month old poodle mix. He is doing well with potty training and is fully crate trained. Roman is starting to play with toys and Nyla bones. He gets along great with other dogs and enjoys play time with them.

Wiser… Look at this lovable guy! Wiser is an almost 5 years old terrier mix. He weighs about 70 lbs, is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, on heartworm prevention and is neutered. Wiser is a BIG time cuddle bug and loves to play. If he doesn’t have any furry friends to keep him company he will politely bring you one of his favorite toys to play with. 🐎Odin is a 2 year old Australian Cattle Dog mix. He is a stunning boy who loves feeding time and can be quite affectionate once he gets all his energy out. Odin is super fast and loves racing around the yard or playing tug with the other dogs. He would really love to have a fenced in yard.

Meet Oatmeal!
Oatmeal is a 3 month terrier mix. He is one of the more outgoing pups in this litter 😊. He is so cute and look at those beautiful eyes! Oatmeal and sister Snickerdoodle, which are called the twins in their foster home, both have such striking eyes. He is so fun loving and playful, zoomies zoomies whenever he goes out 😄. Oatmeal also gets along with all the other fosters, dogs and cats. Although he doesn't differentiate between them and wants to play with both the same. He is working on leash training and potty training and doing good.

Despite his size, he's a determined little guy who loves to keep up with his bigger friends. Meet Yogi!

Cosmic has been around kids previously and has been just fine. He has had some exposure to cats and only shown curiosity towards them.
Cosmic feeds off the vibe of the home. If the home is calm; he is calm and cuddly. He makes eye contact like he is trying to talk to you. ❤️ But if the home is energetic or even chaotic/anxious then Cosmic picks up on that and can start to mimic that through his behaviors.
